I'll admit it, I love theme parks, but I love food even more. I am a foodie at heart, and I would be lying if I told you I'm not excited for SeaWorld San Diego's Seven Seas Food Festival, running from May 2 - May 24, 2015.

Starting this Saturday, guests will be able to explore and celebrate culinary creations created by SeaWorld’s Executive Chef, Axel Dirolf, seen in the video below. SeaWorld’s Seven Seas Food Festival dates are May 2–3, 9–10, 16–17 and 23–24.

Throughout the park guests may embark on a culinary voyage around the world without leaving San Diego and enjoy diverse flavors from California, France, Nuevo Baja, Asia, Mediterranean, South America and the Caribbean. Each location features architectural facades that immerse each guest into the culinary landscape.

Here’s a look at the highlights of Seven Seas Food Festival at SeaWorld San Diego: Internationally-inspired culinary offerings: With 10 different locations throughout the park, culinary destinations will be brimming with internationally-inspired food choices! A small sampling of food items include:

  • Artisanal Artichoke Chicken Mozzarella Sausage at California Farm Flavors
  • Seared Diver Caught Sea Scallop at California Ocean Flavors
  • Sustainable Tuna Poke at California Gastro Pub
  • Warm Brie & Duck Confit at the French Bistro
  • Bittersweet Chocolate Mousse at French Café
  • “Ya Mon” Jerk Chicken at Caribbean Flavors
  • Loukoumades Beignets at Mediterranean Flavors
  • Sea Salt Flavored Grilled Churrasco at South American Flavors
  • Singapore Shrimp Dumpling Skewer at Asian Street Food
  • Oaxaca Spicy Chocolate at Nuevo Baja Flavors

These flavors and more can be found at each location, however, the best way to experience the Seven Seas Food Festival is with the Seven Seas Food and Drink Sampler for $40. Guests will be able to choose their own culinary adventure with up to five food items and five drink items from any of the festival’s food locations. A food only option is available for $20.

Other activities around SeaWorld will include:

A Chat with Chef, where people can speak with SeaWorld San Diego’s Executive Chef, Axel Dirolf; learn his inspirations for the Festival’s culinary creations and pick up some hints for creating their own.

Meet the Brewery: Beer aficionados will get up close and personal with the folks that create their favorite local beers, hear home brewing tips or just listen to fun brewing stories. Local brewers from Stone Brewing Co., Ballast Point Brewing and Spirits, Green Flash, Alpine Beer Company, Coronado Brewing Co., Hess Brewing, Port Brewing, The Lost Abbey, New Belgium Brewing, Modern Times Beer and Groundswell Brewery will all be available select weekends to answer your brewing questions and share insider tips.

Musical Offerings: The California Sound Stage will be brimming with Southern California entertainment featuring local bands. Lighter musical sounds will ring out from the French Sound Stage, located at French Flavors. The sweet melodies will indulge guests as local bands put their spin on the classic continental café.
